Self Development Quotes: An Inspiring Collection for Personal Growth

Torn peice of paper that says " I have no motivation today whats-so-ever"

Around here, we have a love-hate relationship with self-help. Some days, we feel like we're on top of the world, while other days, we feel disconnected from ourselves. If you're feeling stuck or need an extra push, self-development quotes can provide the inspiration you need to keep moving forward.

Let's dive into a few of my favourites.

Theodore Roosevelt once said,

"Believe you can and you're halfway there."

This quote reminds us that a positive attitude and self-worth are essential components of success. It's easy to forget that the first stage is knowing yourself.

Continuing this thought, success is not just about achieving a specific goal or level of wealth or status, but rather, it's about enjoying the journey, finding contentment, and feeling good about who you are and what you do. Maya Angelou put it best when she said,

"Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it."

Remember that success is a feeling, and it's attainable now.

Zig Ziglar's quote is another great reminder that the journey is more important than the end result.

"What you get by achieving your goals is not as important
as what you become by achieving your goals."

Too often we chase after something we think we want, only to realize that it doesn't bring the fulfilment we were expecting. That's why it's important to focus on the personal growth and feelings that come from the journey, rather than just the outcome.

Success, like happiness, is a feeling that we experience when we are fulfilled, content, and at peace with ourselves. As the Dalai Lama said,

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions."

We must take responsibility for our own happiness and take action to create it, rather than waiting for it to come to us. What's your next step?

As if we needed more evidence that it's feeling before the result Albert Schweitzer reminds us that,

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success."

So, how do we start our personal growth journey? Coco Chanel shares,

"The only way to do great things is to feel great about yourself."

Arthur Ashe also reminds us that we can start wherever we are and with whatever we have:

"Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can."

Reminding us that we don't have to wait for the perfect moment to begin our personal growth journey. Go start now.

And of course, there is the wonderful advice from Eleanor Roosevelt:

"Do one thing every day that scares you."

Remember, personal growth and self-development are a continuous journey. It's okay to feel lost or disconnected sometimes, keep reminders close such as these self-development quotes to help you stay motivated and inspired to keep moving forward.
